Removal Costs

  1. I hope to be moving house soon. Does anyone have any idea how much it costs to move an average size house? I may have to put my things into storage for a while, so 'doing it myself' isn't an option.

    It's gone up a bit in the last 5 years.
    We had 2 quotes to move us about 5 miles. One was £425 and the other was £475.
    We are in a 5 bedroom house but moving to a 3 bed so there is only a 3 bedroom's worth of furniture. Apparently a wall full of books pushes the price up a bit though [​IMG]
