I was after some suggestions on good ways to refresh my basic history knowledge. In September 2020 I will be embarking on my journey to teaching. I have spent 7 years studying with OU so I have a wide range of knowledge, but wondered if there are suggestions of books to invest in for KS3/4.

I am using Bitesize already, but how much "should" I know on the spot. Like I know general stuff, but couldn't necessarily order the kings and queens of England in order (example!)

I have a few months now in which to read and listen to podcasts so any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance,

I wish you well in joining the teaching profession.

spend some time looking at the exam board syllabus
    there's more
Look at the options they offer and dip into topics you find interesting.
You will never know all topics that may be taught and all schools will have different options.
