A voluntary TA (qualified) who has worked at a Primary School 2 or more days per week for 7 years. When 4 posts for TA's arise at the school ..applies.. and only finds out they probably have not got the job(s) when told that the next room is to be used for interviewing short list applicants for the posts the following day. How normal is this ? Would it be reasonable to expect someone to have informed them that they had not got an interview ?..

How disappointing for the TA. And not especially good manners of the school.

All she/he can do is ask for some feedback as to why they were not interviewed, and look for another post.
