Recommended reading for someone new to early years?

Discussion in 'New teachers' started by KarrieGem, Feb 3, 2012.

  1. Hi,

I am completely new to the early years - I am an NQT and have no experience in the early years. I have recently started teaching a Reception class and and I am really struggling to get my head around planning, structuring the day and generally just how different it is to Key Stage 1. I was thinking I might try and read up and try and get some ideas. I just wondered if anyone has any books or similar that they have found really helpful or they think would help someone new to early years.

    Thanks in advance,
