What paperwork do people do ready for when they go back in Sept?
Long term plan
Key Skills based topic planning for first term.
First unit of maths
First unit of Lit
Phonics medium term plans for first half term
Group children based on assessment data
Timetable (so I know when I am doing PE, ICT suite, etc)
Guided Reading groups timetable
Set targets for children (I know them fairly well as am taking most of them through from Y1 to Y2)
Setting up my assessment files
Choosing/setting up my APP childrens files
On top of that, in my new role as KS1 Coord:
My contributions to the SIP
My contributions to the SEF
Analaysis of KS1 data
That's why I cant understand how some people say they can walk out in july and not think about school until they walk back in in september.
Quality summary impulce , a good model for anyone to use as a tick list-
Similar for me but K2 and Lit Action plan based on S.A.TS analysis -
And I also agree with your final comment, i imagine its simply bravado speak...
I`m dipping in , dipping out, with planning, slowly prepping and the `machine` will pick up momentum come last week.
Dipping into Cornwall next week but Ill take an old note book to scribble in as Im sipping coffee on the beach with my son.
Long term plan for first half term.
First week and a half short term plans.
Groups for maths, literacy/topic and GR.
Select 5 targets and presentation for children to then choose a target, maths and literacy.
Vague timetable, not final as we don't have PPA or ICT/PE slots yet.
All the above in conjunction with the other class teacher in my year.
And new for this year, new curriculum outline for science.
oops, sorry, it posted itself before I got to make my point. Seems a bit superfluous now!
