Re-train from Secondary to Specialist Teacher

Discussion in 'Jobseekers' started by RussellCooper, Jun 8, 2012.

  1. I am looking to re-train from a secondary maths teacher to working in a specialist school. My youngest son is autistic and I having met his teachers on open days etc believe I need a change of career and set myself a new challenge. Can anyone offer advice as to how I would make this change, where I start and what courses would I need to take?

    Good morning Russell!
Just a quick reply to say that this is not the place to put this question - we are a Forum concerned with job applications, rather than career development. I know nothing about this, and have a policy of not guessing when I am ignorant!
I think that the best thing would be to post this same question again on the Career Clinic - there you will get the advice that you need, I'm sure.
    Best wishes
