Raising the Profile of EYFS in a primary school

Discussion in 'Early Years' started by CC30, May 24, 2011.

  1. Following our recent ofsted it has been recommended that we show the rest of the school how good our early years is eg the good effective practice that we have embedded that should be used across the whole school! Being a large primary many of our ks2 colleagues think we just play!
Has anyone done anything similar at their schools and if so what have you done?
  2. Could the KS2 teacher take an afternoon one day? Helped enormously with our school!
  3. How do you know they think that you just play? Have they told you this? Do you think that they just work? Who recommended by the way?

All our KS2 staff have spent time in our FSU and all said that it was helpful to see the starting point and what goes on in early years.
  5. It is always useful to be reminded that you are but a cog in a greater machine.
