I have an interview where I have to teach a year 1/2 lesson for 40minutes. I have emailed the school and apparently their theme at the moment is 'Rainforests' - they have just started it apparently. Anyone got any ideas that I could do that really make me stand out. It is a general lesson so can be anything and doesnt even have to be - Rainforests - i thought I would just link it to what the children were learning about at the time.

    Thank you.
  2. Have a look at the Tiger Surprised in a tropical storm by Rousseau... there's a link to the National Gallery Website and a wealth of ideas... Its an amazing painting and will definitely excite the children. Freeze framing to the children acting out the rainforest... building up the atmosphere as the rainstorm begins.. etc...
    Good luck...
