Quiche / Tart with puff pastry?

    Thanks all for ideas and advice. In the end I made some shortcrust pastry with wholemeal flour and we had caramelised onion, feta and sundried tomato quiche which was delicious. I really fancy trying a tart on a puff pastry base as you've suggested at some point - I just didn't fancy being too experimental with guests coming round yesterday.

    My daughter invented a very simple tart with puff pastry (requires no pre-cooking, either!)
    Simply spread the (rolled out) pastry with tomato purée, add finely diced red peppers, shallots and sprinkle with some fresh thyme (or any other herb you fancy) then dot with goat's cheese or feta. Bake at 200° for about 15 mins. Delicious as a starter with a green salad.
