QTS Standards Evidence List

Discussion in 'Trainee and student teachers' started by XSamirX, Nov 17, 2010.

  1. Hi everyone

Does anybody have a list of evidences that can be used for each QTS standards.
I have a pile of things that can be included but not sure where I should exactly place them.
What evidence is appropriate for a standard?

    .

  3. Hi there,
As fas as I know there isn't a list of what you can use or can't. You just need to pick suitable pieces of evidence to meet each standard. Some pieces will evidence more than one thing so cross reference it. For example if the head gives you a reference the main body of it might be about how you've worked in school but may also include how you worked with parents or children so could be put in a number of places.
Whatever evidence you collect put it under the standard you think it meets the most, then look at where else you could could mention it.
References or statements from headteachers, mentor, parents TAs are always useful.
Evidence of planning, work, photographs of displays across a variety of subjects (if primary) is also good.
Policies, mission statements, procedures are also useful to have.
    Hope this helps

This is determined by the individual EBITT who should have a means of systematically assessing and recording the standards. You need to ensure that you follow their paperwork trails.

  5. Have you had a look at the Guidance Document available from the TDA? It's a bit wordy and a lot of it just repeats the definition of the standard, but it's quite useful.

There are suggestions for the sources of evidence for each standard, but the "Questions to consider" are perhaps more helpful.

Also, have a search of the resources here on TES - plenty of people have provided their own lists of evidence ... but everyone is different of course and what works for you may not necessarily work for me.

  6. Have you searched on here? There are some great list which let you know what can be used. I found one under the search 'qts standards evidence' i think. Have a look, there are one or two on TES.
    Hope this helps.
