QTS but teaching at a private nursery / pre-school???

    I don't see why they wouldn't still pay you as a teacher. My sister works in a State Nursery school (not attached to an Infants/Junior school) and is paid on the Teachers' payscale.
    She previously worked as a Nursery Teacher in a Nursery attached to a school and was also paid on Teachers' mainscale.
    Presumably you don't have a Nursery Nurse qualification and so can hardly be employed as a Nursery Nurse. Their job is more a caring role than a teaching one anyway.

    As I understand it from your post the school will continue to be an independent school so they don't have to pay you on STPCD terms and conditions unless your contract of employment with them says that they will. Having QTS isn't directly relevant to what they agree to pay you.
