QTS but no PGCE when teaching in UAE

    Hello,

I am currently considering applying for some international jobs and the teacher requirements on adverts are varied. I am qualified with a BA in the subject that I’m currently teaching, however, I only have a QTS qualification and not a PGCE.

I’m currently looking at jobs in Dubai or Abu Dhabi, would the lack of a PGCE cause me a problem?

    Thanks in advance.

You need to check the visa requirements. If the visa asks for a BEd or PGCE an employer might still give you a job but it won't be on a teacher's visa with a normal teacher's salary and package. There are many threads on this - please use the search facility at the top of the page.

Search facility doesn't always play ball.
