punishment science??!!

    By that I merely meant that there is more than one way of looking for a solution. My intention was not to be confrontational, just pointing out that the OP can choose whichever advice works best for them. I have agreed to disagree on Opinion, for example, where a person with an opposing view to mine and I left a discussion mutually politely, having given differing views. It is possible. My apologies if you did not take the comment in this way, ie as it was intended.
    A very good point - I have not taught in a school since early 2007. This means your experience, as a currently serving teacher, are far more valid than mine.
    I suppose my views are less than relevent than yours, and any currently serving teacher.
