PTLLS & GTP

Discussion in 'Trainee and student teachers' started by Lollypop9, Jan 19, 2011.

  1. I am hoping to start a GTP placement (Secondary Maths) in September 2011 and have the opportunity to do a Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Sector (PTLLS) course aimed at people wishing to teach in the FE sector prior to leaving my current (non teaching) job. Is it worth doing this? I will be expected to contribute financially.

They are different =- PTLLS does not give you QTS or provide a recognised qualification for secondary schools
