Psychology GCSE AQA - first time teaching

Discussion in 'Social sciences' started by paulajmoore, Jul 31, 2011.

  1. Hi all,
I'm about to teach GCSE psychology for the first time and notice the AQA recommended hours are approx 60-70 per unit/each year.
My students will only have an hour and a quarter each week so it leaves me really short. Any advice on schemes of work would be most appreciated. If you have been in this position and wouldn't mind sharing your SOW i'd be very grateful. I'm concerned that they will have no time for creative lessons and really want to avoid the 'jug and mug' principle.
    Thanks
    Paula
