PSHE OfSTED next week.

Discussion in 'Primary' started by samstb, Jun 28, 2011.

  1. Hello all
Our school has got a one day PSHE OfSTED next week. I have all of my lessons sorted but would like some ideas as how to make a geography lesson on rivers PSHE focused. I wanted to do an empathy type activity about flooding-but that feels a bit to 'safe'.
    Any suggestions would be appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.
  2. I work for a PSHCE website called Go-Givers www.gogivers.org and we have a lesson that refers to the floods after hurricane Katrina that might be useful - it looks at the need to prevent disasters before they happen http://www.gogivers.org/ppts/Prevention_is_Better_than_Cure.ppt .... not exactly what you are looking for but might be a starting point for developing empathy!
You need to register to access the resources but they are all free as we are a government funded PSHCE programme.
