Progress 8 based only if there is KS2 Data

    It seems some schools might be playing games with Progress 8 figures. Seemingly, if students do not have Key Stage 2 Data they do not count. Consequently, some schools seem to be targeting those only with KS2 Data to look good on the Progress 8 Measure.

    What are your thoughts on this? Doesn't every child's results matter for progress? And is this game playing?

    This isn't game playing. It's just making sure that you show progress for children with data.

    Of course you do the best for all children but if they have no KS2 data, you can't measure progress.

    Schools are judged on progress so they have to show that they are doing all they can to maintain/accelerate the students who bring data with them.
