Programming languages

  1. What programming languages would anyone suggest for teaching at KS3 / KS4 / KS5?
    Any ideas?

    I am personally going with Java, I have never done Python although I heard many people rave about it. I would do which one you felt comfortable with.

    I think this is the most important factor. If you feel 100% comfortable and confident with a language, then within reason you should be able to teach at least the fundamentals of programming with it. Even the most basic of subjects are lost on kids if the teacher doesn't have complete confidence
