I'm very realistic. I'm now retired but I never expected too much of myself. I never aspired to unrealistic goals. I didn't always fall short. I was never convinced that there was always more I could do for my pupils. And do you know why? Because I always did the best I could. It's the government and Ofsted who have the unrealistic expectations and the nonsensical goals and who put ridiculous pressures on teachers so that their lives are made a misery and their backs are breaking under the burden. And it has made me incandescent with rage to see the claptrap you have come out with.
