Problem solving mathematics observation

Discussion in 'Trainee and student teachers' started by MasterMaths, Feb 5, 2012.

  1. Firstly, why do you want to make it "more exciting"?
Secondly, model what you want them to do, perhaps in the starter. If you haven't taught them problem solving skills (and they haven't been taught it at all by anyone else) then you may struggle to show real progress in one lesson, so think very carefully about your objectives and make sure that your activities allow pupils to achieve them.
