Problem solving and investigations in Mathematics at primary level

Discussion in 'Mathematics' started by amaryllis2, Apr 15, 2011.

  1. I have been asked to help run a half day INSET on investigations in Numeracy at my primary school. Any suggestions would be gratefully appreciated.
  2. I'd stick with investigations that are tried and tested and have really worked for your classes. Choose one or two for each element of teaching successful investigations that you are demonstrating.
  3. Hi
I think it would be better if you laid out what you are going to do and see which aspects people think would be good, great or very fantastic
I assume you dont usually teach numeracy?
How long have you got the audience for?
Who is in charge of the INSET you are helping with? have they suggested anything?
