Probationary Year / NQT Year

Discussion in 'Scotland - prospective teachers' started by johm, Mar 14, 2011.

  1. I am currently completing my Probationary year following the completion of my PGDE last year. In England they call it an NQT year - is this exactly the same as a probationary year?
  2. I thought you were and NQT once you had completed your probation year?
So its Student Teacher, Probationer Teacher and then Newly Qualified Teacher.
