Primary Depute Head Post - what should the school roll reach to justify a post?

Discussion in 'Scotland - Primary' started by Ionian, Feb 26, 2011.

  1. In a primary school, when can the school approach the local authority to ask for a DHT post? How many pupils need to be on the roll? Does the number of nursery pupils count as part of the school roll?
Thanks for any information you're able to share.

  3. Our DHT post is under threat due to a falling roll at the moment, we have approximately 250 pupils. As far as I'm aware neither the fact that we have a 70 pupil nursery or a Department of Additional Support is counted in our numbers as far as DHT post is concerned. 2 PT's is apparently cheaper!
