This is the first time I have posted and would like to look for threads that address the world beyond teaching. For example:

What are we teaching kids about the real world beyond school?

Are we teaching our children that the world is fair and the world will bend over backward to accommodate all their needs?

I think we are not preparing this generation (or even the generation of the past 2 decades) for the world beyond school.

We are teaching children who disrupt our classes, that its ok, we will forgive them and so will their peers. They go into the world and find out that no one is all that patient with them. Not many laws are going to back them up and they will be out before they can even say ‘why?’

Any comments? Have I opened a can of worms?
