Preparation for NQT year

Discussion in 'New teachers' started by msloops, Mar 24, 2011.

  1. Congratulations on your new job )
you could book yourself onto an NUT 'start right' course in July. I wish I'd gone last year, it sounds good.
Can you get the schemes of work from your school and start planning lessons?
Also you could get a copy of their rules and policies etc especially behaviour policy and start memorizing...
Most importantly of all, relax and do the things you enjoy doing )

Firstly well done, its very hard out there at the moment you should be very proud you have a post.
The one thing I'd suggest is resources. MASSES of them. Then when you can plan your lessons you have lots of things to use rather than having to plan them AND make everything from scratch. This will mean your NQT is less stressful and should keep you at least mostly on the right side of happy [IMG] x
