PPA teachers and striking

Discussion in 'Headteachers' started by tired teacher, Jun 22, 2011.

  1. Am working doing a one day a week supply for the whole term and the teacher is going on strike on Thursday next week. I am not striking and have been told I am not needed in that class. I have been offered work in another class but will not be able to complete the planned work for the term as a result with my regular class. I do not receive any PPA time myself even though I have worked.

What advice have you received about cancelling PPA teachers who are not striking if a class teacher is going on strike?
  2. No advice has come on this. I should just keep your head down and get through the day!
