Hiya I know no specific answers can be given but I just wanted to know people's opinion.
    I
have an interview teaching an early years class and wondered what were
peoples thought on doing a plenary? Would you/wouldn't you? Do I call
them back and go through the success criteria etc? Im only wondering
because it is early years. If it was year 1 and above I wounden't
hesitate to do a plenary but Im not sure how necessary it is.
    I
only ask because we usually do a plenary before lunch and before
hometime; not after every lesson but I know some places do. Its not done
after every lesson coz the children are in free flow.
    Hope that made sense :-s
    Any advice is appreciated.

  3. Hi
I would do a plenary...and this sounds a bit bad but mainly because I think your observer would expect you to so that you could show how you had assessed them... Some SMTs are fab with early years but if you did something drastically different they might not like that which may put someone else ahead of you :(
However I do hope you get a fab team who love early years... They do exist!!! Good luck :)

    Thank you for your reply.
In the back of my mind I was
thinking of doing something even if it is really short, just to show
that I am aware of assessing learning.
    Thanks again
