Despite the BBC relegating this historic news to a minor footnote tonight, after headlining endless mock outrage stories for weeks, the Bill has gloriously passed.

Please join me in accepting the result with traditional British good grace, slapping each other (virtually) on the back and moving forward holding hands and having hugs towards BREXIT.

Well done Boris. You did it again.

Indeed. Actually, I suspect the brilliant brain of a certain Mr Cummings behind this. The Eurocrats had laid a trap, but we didn't fall for it.

That said, my own view was that it would have been best to wait till they had sprung it, show them up for the shysters that they are, get the PR value for that and then reinterpret the clause the normal way. But there we are.

Interesting that amid all the hysteria about Boris "breaking international law" to protect the UK, there wasn't a murmur when Germany rebelled and did more or less the same.

Or, of course, on those many occasions when France and Germany have illegally subsidised industry, whilst the EU prevented the UK from doing the same, viz. our steelworks.
