Please help me with data speak

Discussion in 'Heads of department' started by jimois, Sep 1, 2011.

  1. I have been forwarded the data anaylsis of KS3, KS4 and KS5 results (MFL) but are unsure about what certain acronyms refer to. Any help would be gratefully received:
    Value AVG sLoT
    Average of GoT
How many levels of progression should be made between KS2 and KS3, KS3 -KS4 and KS4- KS5?

    Thank you.
  2. Not come across those abbreviations before. KS3 one - Value Average but no idea what a sLoT is . KS4 grades of teacher? Levels progress is somewhat easier. National Curriculum requires 2-3 levels of progress between KS2 and 4.
  3. AVG - added value something or abbreviation for average???
sLOT - students Level on Target and GoT - grades on target???

I don't mind all these letters, but wish they'd explain them to you before sending out stuff with them all over!

Levels of progress is 2 levels from KS2-3, 3 levels from KS2-4, not sure about KS4-5.
