I have only taught KS4 since 2014. I have applied for a SEN/ emotional/ behavioural school and have been told that the class which I will teach will be Year 9 entry level 3 - what does this mean? Does it mean entry level for GCSE? Do most schools start teaching GCSE in Year 9 now? Thank you to anyone who can help.

Entry levels are different to GCSEs. They are easier. Google them to find out the typical requirements of each level or ask in the SEN forum. Good luck!

Entry level 3 is below GCSE level 1.

I would presume that it's equivalent to Functional Skills Entry Level 3. Have a look at the city and guilds website.
