Please could anyone help out with my question on P+C?

    Sorry to 'double post' but could really do with an urgent response so I know where I stand. Please could you look at my thread on P+C and help if possible:

  2. I think, if I remember rightly, it was a friend who died?
    I would not get paid leave for that, either, Eva. Only for next of kin.
    I would have to have a doctor's note to ensure that time off was paid time off (as sick).
    I am not sure about your self-certify system, as we do not have that here. I have to provide a sick note by the third date of sickness, at latest, backdated to the first day of sickness.
    I cannot self-certify - I think you can?
    Sorry it is such a pain - not exactly the thing you want to deal with whilst grieving.
     
  3. Backdated sounds wrong. I have to have a doctor's note from the first day of sickeness, it has to be handed in on the 3rd day latest.
