Please can you help me understand what AD mean?

  1. Primary teachers have to teach a lot of subjects, there are bound to be some they have not studied themselves.

    I'm fairly sure the OP now knows thet AD and BC are, and I'm fairly confident that any child she teaches will know it as well. If only so that they are not exposed to this type of criticism.

    The OP had studied history at A level and GCSE.
    This I don't doubt. The point I was making was that the OP supposedly had qualifications in the subject and even after research didn't understand such a simple concept. If you don't think this is worrying, particularly for a teacher, then I despair.
