Play with 3 female and 2 male parts? (Edexel AS Unit 2)

Discussion in 'Drama and performing arts' started by jenga079, Jan 5, 2011.

  1. Hello all,
We're really struggling to find an appropriate play for our Year 12 Theatre Studies group this year. Anyone got any ideas for a play with 3 female and 2 male parts (preferably with one of the male parts being the strongest/most challenging role)?
    Thank you!

  3. Abigails Party by Mike Leigh (classic)
Blood and Ice by Liz Lochhead (personal fav)
Dark Earth by David Harrower (great play - set in Scotland)
Wolf Boy by Peter Charlton (good text for young actors)

  4. I can't believe I'd forgotten about Abigail's Party! Thank you. I'll check out the others too :)

  5. I did '100' with 3 girls and 2 boys, changing the Guide (whose gender isn't specified) into a girl (in a flight attendant's outfit) which worked pretty well.
