There is a positive correlation between children's Physical Literacy (their ability to perform agility, balance and coordination multi-skills) and improvement in academic performance. Primary schools have a responsibility to enhance children's Physical Literacy just as much as their Maths and English. One way your school could do this is by premoting the ABC Skills App, a resource that can be used as a homework activity or an intervention programme. It is free for schools. Take a look at www.abcskills.co.uk or find out more on Facebook: ABC Skills - Physycal Literacy App. The app has an assnent tracker that can be completed by teachers or parents and can be email to a class teacher to keep a record.
