Phonics Phase 5 - LCP Happy Families - any good?

Discussion in 'Primary' started by spannywinx, Apr 20, 2012.

  1. Hello!
I am looking for a more effective/fun way to teach the alternative spellings for the phonemes in Phase 5. The LCP Happy Families programme has been recommended to me by a friend but before buying it I wondered if anyone else had any suggestions.
I have looked on loads of different websites and have only found that Jolly Phonics display the alternative spellings on a tree together... Are there any other schemes/ways of teaching this that people suggest?
Our school has recently signed up to the Phonics Bug site but this doesn't seem to offer much support on this...

    Any ideas would be great!
