We follow the letters and sounds programme and have ability matched groups of about 15 chn in the KS1 and year 3, however there are several year 3 children who have completed all 6 phonics phases.
The year 3 teacher also has a phonics group, however struggling with what to do with the year 3 chn who have completed the phonics programme. At the moment they are completing comprehension type activities with the TA but mostly worksheets. Just wondered if others were in similar situation and what they did with the yr3 chn.

    Hi
If you Google support for spelling and click on the first hit you should get a pdf file. This has loads of ideas for year 2 and ks2 children. It is broken down into year groups and terms.

  4. Yes, Support for Spelling was introduced to work alongside Phase 6 and then beyond, right up to Year 6. We use this and I would definitely recommend it.
