Phonics-How to extend more able

Discussion in 'Early Years' started by starjin5, Jun 16, 2011.

  1. Hi All
I teach reception and am currently on phase 4 with half of my class/other half are on phase3. I do have 2 extremely well able children, both are confident readers (level 10) and writers. I just feel that I'm not extending them fully during my phonics lessons. I give them trickier words/sentences to write but just dont feel this is enough. Does anyone have any suggestions?
    Thank you
