Am wondering what other schools do to cover daily phonics work for children in Key stage 2. Key stage 1 has the Letters and sounds program and there is a wealth of software and online resources out there for them . Just wondering what other schools do to carry on the hard work across keystage 2 ? We have found that sending spelling lists home has minimal impact as the children rarely transfer their learning across to their everyday writing. We like the idea of dictation practice but find it quite labour intensive. What do you do ? Hope you can help Merry Christmas everyone!
