PGCE Primary- Maths learning theories

Discussion in 'PSHE' started by star_fivebyfive, Jan 2, 2012.

  1. Hi,

I'm currently a PGCE student, I am doing an assignment on planning a unit of work and the influence that learning theories have had on this process. Does anyone know of any prominent learning theories associated with maths? I am thinking of looking at it from behaviourist and constructivist approaches, but am finding it hard to find the relevant literature.

    Many thanks
