PGCE Primary Interview

Discussion in 'Thinking of teaching' started by Mrs_Pathan, Jan 5, 2011.

  1. Hi All

Like the majority I am feeling stressed with regards to what will happen about my PGCE application this year, I want to do really well at my interview. I was hoping to get some pointers/direction via this site. My interview is made up of 3 parts:

    Numeracy test (15 mins)

    Written exercise (30 mins)

Face to face interview (20 mins)

I need to research a "Current contemporary issue, and its impact on school practice".

I have started working through my GCSE maths revision guides for the numeracy test, the bit I am struggling with is the current contemporary issue? I have been looking on the dept of education website for new initiatives and policies the govt are considering. If anyone could give me any pointers it would be very much appreciated.

    Many Thanks -
