PGCE Interview -5 min Teaching Episode PANICING!

Discussion in 'Primary' started by pottyparrot, Jan 7, 2011.

  1. Hi all,

I have an interview for a PGCE at Newcastle. We have been asked to do a 5min teaching episode, but it says we need to bring one artefact as a teaching resource and that the activity must allow us to asses the level the children are at and allow us to alter teaching based on the levels.

Firstly, I don't know what they mean by an artifct does that mean we have to bring in an object and base the lesson around it? Say we wanted them to draw something, can I bring enough paper and pencils for everyone?

Secondly, how do i make it so that i'm assesing the audience in 5mins?

Thirdly, does anyone who has done this b4 have any ideas?
