PGCE Convalidation success?

Discussion in 'Teaching overseas' started by Fishter, May 6, 2011.

  1. Hi
Has anyone successfully convalidated a PGCE (Primary) in Spain? I have my PGCE QTS certificate but have not undertaken an NQT year.
I am very happy in my job as an "asesora" through the British Council bilingual scheme but would like to convalidate my qualification for safety measures. However, I have heard that there might be problems and it might not be possible without an NQT year completion despite the fact that I completed my course successfully and gained QTS.
Has anyone been in this situation? I know it can be a costly and lengthy process so would like any advice from people in the know!

    Thanks
