  1. they are currently having ofsted inspections so i guess thats the reason. i sent some flowers and wine to cheer them up and a sign i appreciate their efforts.

    If I'd received that in my workplace I'd certainly regard it as an insult.
    Email is a highly efficient and effective form of communication if it is used appropriately. You were not chatting with your student mates, you were conversing with someone in their professional capacity. You need to write as a professional.
    Good. Learn from it.
