    HI all,

I am a trainee teacher overseas and am focusing on PSHE. I am currently trying to think of a topic/intervention which I can do my action research on.

I thought about introducing ipsative assessment - but not sure how I can measure the outcome.

Does it improve student engagement - how on earth do you measure that?

    or introduce some reflective writing.

I really am stuck - anyone got any direction for me?

I introduced a termly reflective questionnaire in my school. I built the questions to specifically reflect what the pupils had thought about during the term, and to reflect on how these skills or knowledge had impacted their learning/living. There is also a group of baseline open questions that are the same each term and these show progress in the key areas of our PSHE curriculum.

This has worked really well, and the form teachers now also use the questionnaires to inform them of pupils wellbeing.
