Personal statement for jobs

    I think the clue to a successful personal statement is in the word "personal".

    Why would anyone else's statement be of any use to you?

    Which possibly explains why you aren't getting interviews.

    You need to write a new personal statement for every job you apply for, carefully addressing the person spec for that post. No-one else's recent statements will be able to do that for you.
