Hi, I`m applying for a EYFS Practitioner job in Primary School. I got a problem with personal statement. I should write how do I meet person specification etc. What should I write? Any ideas? Thanks in advance

Look at their job specification and make sure your statement meets them
Also, make sure an example of a lesson is included (preferably something outdoor) as well as a subject specialism and why.
    Hope that helps:)

Ps make it personal to the school!

I always write down keywords from the job spec. i.e Assessment, creative, inclusive etc. And also write down the school motto - most have them. i.e 'growing together.' I will first start off with my experience - but only relevant experience. No point talking about your KS2 experience etc. (It took me a while to realise this, unfortunately).

What is your philosophy of teaching? What is highlighted as good practice on their website/ofsted reports etc. What did you love the most when you walked around the school. My personal spec for my current job looked somewhat like this,

    - Post I am applying for & my recent/relevant experience.
    - Philosophy of teaching & the school.
'I truly believe that children learn best when...... xxxxxx. Ofsted highlight that lessons at your school are xxxx, xxxx and xxxx and I feel that this strongly matches my own philosophy. For example, during a recent observation I delivered a lesson in which xxxxx "
    - Start ticking off keywords form the job spec. Haven't talked about assessment yet? Make that the next paragraph.
    - During my visit to the school I was informed that you use the xxx assessment strategy. I have xxxxx experience using this, (give examples). I believe that assessment xxxx.
    - Anything else? i.e outdoor learning/parental partnerships/ etc.
    - Concluding paragraph - I believe that my experience thus far matches the xxxx ethos of (school name) and xxxxxx
