Personal specification requirement - what are they after?

Discussion in 'Jobseekers' started by syoung1985, Jun 21, 2012.

  1. Hi,
You need to use the specification to look at what qualities they expect and/or looking for, then put these together with examples and references to your skills and experience in a statement.
For example: if they want a Sports leader subject coordinator - write a paragraph about your skills and experience as well as how you incorporate this into school life.

    Hope this helps! Steph.

Successful experience in developing teaching and learning
    =
2 years' experience in KS3-4 developing and delivering Schemes of Work
    Providing pedagogic inspiration to
    students

    =
All students achieved defined targets, most students exceeded them.
Or something along these lines . . .
(No, not a paragraph, SYoung - it's an Executive Summary)
    Best wishes

Many thanks for the responses Theo and Steph. From
your response Theo, this point in their person spec seems to double up with the
previous point "Successful experience in curriculum delivery" - am I
    missing a something subtle here?

Sorry - can't get rid of all the formating code - not sure if this is a consequence of using Firefox.

For future reference, the way I 'get rid of the formatting code (in my browser - Firefox) is to click on the little folder with a large T, select <u>paste as plain text</u> , enter your message and it should then just post your message without all the 'gobbledegook!'
