Person spec. question

  1. Hi All,
I'm an NQT recently qualified and just starting to apply for jobs after doing a bit of supply - I need a bit of advice about a certain 'requirement' that comes up in every application form I've looked at . It's a fairly elementary question about the 'understanding and knowledge of the National Curriculum' but I'm struggling with how to boil it down to a few sentences and at the same time getting the message across that I know what I'm talking about.
In previous applications (not for teaching) I've been asked comparable questions about knowledge and understanding and I'm aware that I have a tendency to overegg the pudding, which, I fear, puts people off.
Can anyone give me any advice on what points I should be making please? All advice really welcome.

You just have to write something to show you've read /studied/ worked with the National Curriculum e g I have a working knowledge of the NC gained on my placement at . . . . schools when we . . . . .

Yes, Lara is right. Just state that you have been on placement using it.
Bit of a daft thing for them to put, anyway.
    Best wishes
