Peripatetic Music teachers - are they inspected?

Discussion in 'Ofsted inspections' started by Mathsmaiden, Jul 19, 2013.

  1. Title says it all. I'd like to know if peri-instrument teachers are part of the inspection? Does it depend on their contract with the school? Eg if paid by the school they are, but if working as self employed (paid by pupils) they aren't.

    Thanks.

  2. Yes they are part of the inspection and no it doesn't depend on their contract or who pays them. If pupils from the school are receiving any kind of education managed by the school, then it gets inspected irrespective of who pays what

  3. Thanks Robby64.
