    Hi there,

Can anyone tell me what dates one cycle is from and to? My line manager said he thought it was 1st Nov to 1st Nov but I can't find it anywhere in the paperwork from my union.

    Thank you

It's now up to schools when their appraisal (as performance management is now cslled) periods run from. You need to look at your school's appraisal policy.

Nevertheless, most schools do follow the traditional dates of appraisal matching the academic year – so 1st September–31 August – but with the report not due until 31 October (to allow exam results etc. to be included). Given targets are typically set at this time as well, the period is effectively is a year from November for most.
